Map Projects

We are wrapping up a study of Map/Globe Skills and the class was asked to teach others about Geography using the Xperia tablets.  After learning about the seven continents, the five oceans, the Equator, Northern Hemisphere, and Southern Hemisphere, they had to then apply what they have learned about the various applications on the Xperia.  Here is a showcase of their final projects.

The day I got my first-ever Puppy

   

When I see poodles reminds of when I got my first puppy.It started in the spring at Long Island at the breakfast table I was so excited because maybe I was getting...My first puppy!!A couple hours later I got dressed and got in the car to go to the pet shop.I couldn't wait,maybe I can get a puppy.When we got there I was jumping up and down with joy.We got inside and we had to look at the puppies first.I felt like buying all of them!!A couple of dogs were to bid some of them were to loudbut this one was just right.There was this room you bring the dog in to get to know it and its reaction was perfect. It was a female but my dad said no it was too expensive.I felt like throwing a tantrum.When we got home I went to my bed I cried intill I got hungry Then my dad said he is going to the gas station which was strange because the tank was full oh well I said and I went to the kitchen to eat mac and chesee. I hid when my got home I hid because I was angry at him but he said he had a suprise for me so. He showed me what was what in his hand and it was a Puppy!!!So that was the day I got my first-ever puppy

When I went to the water park I got to go alone on my own tube on the lazy river and the slides.There was a slide where you have to go on your belly.I was screaming so loud. I thought I was going to slip like a ice cube. It was so fun. Their was a ride like a tornado but it was small. It was contended to a slide. I was about to go upside down. Their were these white slides we only had to go on the left because the right one was closed. So we could not to get on it. Me and Jasmine went together and Jasmine and my dad, and then me and my dad because there were only two people got to go on a tube. My mom did not go on the rides because she was dizzy. When me my dad and Jasmine we went on the blue and orange slides. My mom went in the hot tub after the slide we went in the hot tub my dad said, "Who wants to go on the slide again?" I went on to give him company. Then we went on the orange slide when we were about to go on the stairs Jasmine came she went on the slide. When we were about to eat. I went on a slide that was not in the water it was nine feet deep.I went on but Jasmine did not. After we ate lunch we went to our locker so we could take off our water shoes but we did not leave.  We went to the kid water play round and did the lazy river 3 times. We had a race me and my dad won. I was pushing my dad. There were blow ups and water splashed on me and my dad's belly.  It felt like you were getting a massage and then we left the water park I had lots of fun.

My Playdate With MK by AM

     My teacher told me to write down some memory moments. Then I remembered when MK and I  had an awesome playdate.  

     It all started when... MK came over.  MK brought some things over: her iPod, journal, and flashlight.

    MK and I were thinking of something to do when we both got the same idea at the same time! We though to build a fort.  We got a lot of covers, pillows, and a chair.  We tilted it forwards so that would be the back.  When we put everything together MK and I though it looked great, we both loved it.  When MK and I took a peek inside it looked AWESOME.  When we fully went inside it was like Puffy Pillow Land.  We both said at the same time, "Sweet!"  

    Our pillow land fell down a few times, but we fixed it immediately.  MK said, "Let's watch Spy Kids 4."  So we got out my DVD player and watched the movie.  It was about these two kids that become spies. 

    When MK and I were about half-way through, we went outside to get some fresh air.  We ate lunch. We drove my dad's golf cart with my dog Leo.  My mom drove us around the area. Then we came back and watched the rest of the movie. It was a good movie. After, MK and I climbed a tree in my backyard. Then MK's dad came. But we had an awesome time!

I just got home.I opened the door and there was my dog Martha wagging her tail. I remember when I first got Martha.  On that morning I was awoken  by something in the kitchen. I jumped out of my cozy bed and put on my slippers. My slippers are pink,frilly,have sparkle design they also look like boots. I looked out the window,the sun sparkled like a diamond. When I got downstairs I saw a crate with a leash, collar, treats and some toys. I only ate a little because I was excited. But I forgot that I have karate on Saturdays so I found myself in the dojo. All I wanted was to get out of there! Finally class was over and mom took me and my brother home to change. Once we where home I ran to my room and pulled out of my drawer  a tanktop and pants and finally mom said, "It is time to go!"  So I jumped in the car and yelled, "Come on let's go!" They got into the car and my dad started to drive. The ride was slow so I waited and waited and finally dad said that we where there . I got out of the car and ran to the front steps of the breeders house and rang the doorbell. The breeder opened the door. The breeder talked a lot and finally she brought the dog.  It was an exciting day.

Today l was playing a video game and this reminded me about the time of 2010 when l  played FIFA Soccer ( also a video game ). On that day, my Dad was asking me, "Do you want to try a video game called FIFA?  It is a soccer video game." I thought it would be so hard so l said, "No".  But a few minutes later, l decided l was going to try the game to see if the game is easy or not easy. I selected to of my favorite teams called Manchester United and Real Madrid. I played the game and surprisingly it was really really easy. Since the first time I played FIFA it has been my most  favorite game ever!
